On Tuesday, St. Louis County received 6,000 vaccine doses from the state of Missouri. That delivery contained last week’s doses, which were delayed by the weather, as well as this week’s doses. Over the next seven days, we intend to administer 6,000 first doses and 3,000 second doses for a total of 9,000 vaccinations. That will be a new record for St. Louis County.
On Saturday, Feb. 20, the Department of Public Health partnered with the Missouri State Emergency Management Agency and the University of Missouri—St. Louis to host a mass vaccination event that served 2,375 people. The even ran smoothly with the help of 150 volunteers from the community, most of whom worked alongside staff as vaccinators.
Today St. Louis County received delivery of 3,900 doses of the Pfizer vaccine from the state of Missouri. The county Department of Public Health will continue administering vaccines to people who have registered on Wednesday morning, and the process will continue daily.
