Multiple Mass Vaccination Efforts Continue
On Tuesday, the County launched two-day event that targeted school personnel and other eligible individuals. More than 1,000 people received a first dose at the Florissant Valley campus of St. Louis Community College, including some individuals who are not school employees but who were otherwise eligible to receive vaccine under the state’s guidelines. Another 500 school personnel received vaccinations administered by fire district partners in Richmond Heights.
Today, we expect another 1,000 to 1,100 vaccinations to be administered at the Florissant Valley campus and another 300 or so by fire district partners in Eureka. Again, schools personnel were given the first opportunity to make appointments for these events, and other eligible individuals were given appointment opportunities after the school personnel made their appointments.
On Thursday, more than 500 vaccinations are expected at a north St. Louis County event at the Metro North Fire District at 1815 Chambers Road. Residents from three of the County’s most vulnerable zip codes -- 63135, 63136 and 63137 -- have been invited to make appointments.
Also Thursday, the public is invited to attend a 5 p.m. virtual town hall meeting on COVID-19 vaccines. To register, click here or visit stlcorona.com
