The St. Louis Department of Public Health has been collecting data and scientific studies related to indoor dining and the spread of COVID-19. On Friday, DPH published an indoor dining brief on stlcorona.com as part of its goal of sharing scientific knowledge about spread of the disease with the community. The document summarizes studies and other data on indoor airflow and how the virus that causes COVID-19 is spread when people dine indoors with others outside their immediate household. It also includes a brief Q and A as well as links to the studies and other data.
On Nov. 17, DPH issued a “Safer at Home” order that included a ban on indoor dining at restaurants, bars and any other public establishment. The order allows establishments to offer pick-up, delivery, curbside and outdoor service. DPH continues to monitor case numbers and other data to determine when the order may be revised.
The State of Missouri has launched covidvaccine.mo.gov to provide the latest vaccine information. The information provided for residents, vaccinators and FAQs is available in multiple languages. The choice to get vaccinated is a personal one and the content on this website offers residents facts to help them make the best choice for them and their families.
Please note that DPH COVID-19 Updates will no longer be disseminated on Fridays. Beginning next week, the updates will be sent out twice a week, on Mondays and Wednesdays only. As always, if important information becomes available that information will be released in a timely fashion.
