Indoor dining returns to St. Louis County restaurants on Monday, along with new protocols aimed at mitigating risks.
St. Louis County is grateful for the hard work of restaurant owners and workers who have followed the existing protocols to keep their customers and employees safe. Because new COVID cases continue to fall in St. Louis County, new protocols will permit indoor dining starting January 4, as County Executive Dr. Page announced this morning.
The health department, working with an informal group of restaurant owners, has instituted the following protocols, which take effect Monday:
It’s important to note that these policy changes are due to the number of cases going in the right direction and everyone needs to understand that indoor dining — even with these protocols — continues to pose substantial risks to both patrons and employees.
The Department of Public Health would also like to share the New Year holiday safety messages below. We are grateful for the collaboration of our Restaurant Working Group in creating these videos, which encourage everyone to celebrates safely this New Year’s weekend. Please feel free to disseminate and spread the word. Should you need any assistance, please reach out to Sara Dayley at [email protected].
