St. Louis County’s first mass vaccination site will be at the Florissant Valley campus of St. Louis Community College in Ferguson, County Executive Dr. Sam Page announced today.
It is important to note that vaccines will not be administered there this week as DPH is finishing work at the site and continues to await more doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. Once supply is available, vaccines will be administered by appointment according to the DPH pre-registration list. Access to the list is available at stlcorona.com or by sending an email to [email protected]. DPH has partnered with the County Older Residents Program to help register those who do not have internet access. For that assistance, please call 314-615-2660.
In addition to this Ferguson location, we are working to provide other vaccine centers throughout the county. We know that transportation can be a challenge for many, so we will do all we can to make the sites easy to get to. Dr. Page also announced that we are forging community partnerships in our most vulnerable and historically under-served areas in order to build trust and spread crucial information about the available vaccines and the vaccination process. We hope to provide more details on some of these collaborative efforts within the next few days.
We ask for patience. We ask you to be honest when pre-registering so that you have your proper place in line and do not displace someone that needs the shot more than you do.
