COVID-19 Dashboard Update

The St. Louis County COVID-19 Statistical Dashboard will now display COVID-19 case counts by date of diagnosis. Previously, cases were counted by the date they were first reported to a public health department. Counting by diagnosis date assists in the following:

  • Reduces the statistical noise that results from reporting and data entry delays
  • More accurately reflects the real trends among the St. Louis County population.

The data that was posted previously, counted cases by date of report to:

  • Align with DHSS’ reporting practices
  • Avoid days early in the outbreak when we would have to report 0 new diagnoses from the previous day due to reporting issues between DHSS and some clinical laboratories.

The dashboard can be found online here
