ST. LOUIS COUNTY (April 16, 2020) – County Executive Dr. Sam Page will hold a media briefing at 8:30 a.m. Friday.
As the COVID-19 crisis continues, County Executive Page will hold briefings at 8:30 a.m. each Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
On Friday, Dr. Page will provide more details on the CARES Act funding the county is expected to receive on April 24. At the briefing, he will introduce a lead advisor for a community group that will work closely with the Page administration on ways to use the nearly $175 million to help save lives, provide residents basic needs and revive the economy.
The funds must be spent on the county’s response to COVID-19 crisis and all spending will come from a special fund that can be tracked through a web portal. Legislation proposed by County Executive Page is pending before the County Council to create the fund and portal. Following his remarks, County Executive Page will open the briefing for questions from the media.
